PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE
It’s time to mark your calendars, dust off those dancing shoes and get ready for this year’s Alumni festivities set to begin on Friday, June 17 th through Saturday, June 18 th. Friday night begins Alumni weekend with a get together at the Pot Belly Pub on Main Street. Join your classmates and other Alumni for an evening of entertainment and reminiscing.
The High School will be hosting “Senior Night” also on Friday, June 17th, when awards and scholarships will be presented to this year’s senior class. The event begins at 7:00 p.m. Graduation will be held on Saturday, June 18 th at 10:00 a.m. There will be a brief Alumni business meeting following graduation. All of these events are at the High School gymnasium.
Saturday evening from 8:00 p.m. until midnight is our annual Alumni Dance Party! The dancing will take place in the Black River Alumni Tent located behind the American Legion Ballard Hobart Post 36 on Main Street. DJ Jamie Jensen will be supplying the music for this event. The cover charge is $5.00 per person.

We have decided to postpone this year’s parade and to hold some various fund raisers to be able to host a parade in 2012 bigger and better than ever. Our first fund raiser will be a cash raffle. Details to purchase a raffle ticket are included on the third page of this newsletter. The prizes for this raffle will be as follows: 1 st prize - $500.00, 2 nd prize - $250.00, 3 rd prize - $150.00, 4 th prize - $100.00. Tickets will be $10.00 each and limited to only 200 tickets being sold. The drawing will be held when all tickets are sold. We will also have tickets available to purchase at the Dance Party on Saturday, June 18 th or
by contacting any one of the Alumni Officers. The theme for next year’s parade will be “T.V. Shows”. Who can forget those favorite sitcoms and cartoons we all enjoyed. Get those creative juices flowing, the options are endless. We are also looking for volunteers for a parade committee to help with the planning process as well as help the day of the parade. Planning a parade requires many hands and any help you can give would be greatly appreciated.
