In the Guidance Office there is a senior board which all seniors should be checking on a
weekly basis. Posted on this board is information about upcoming college visits, SAT and ACT Test Dates, scholarship
information and open house dates for different colleges.
At this point, seniors should be contacting colleges for applications, asking teachers for recommendations and signing
up for the SAT’s and ACT’s.
Some colleges will waive the application fee if you apply on line and most colleges accept the common application.
Just check with the college you wish to apply to find out their guidelines. UVM will waive the application fee for
all Vermont students if they apply by November 1st.
You can down load the common application on www.commonapp.org. If you need any help at all, please don’t hesitate
to contact the Guidance Office.
